A growler is a refillable glass jug used to purchase beer for take-out or delivery. The Iron Monkey Growler is 64 fluid ounces of any one of our draft beers. Once sealed you can store your Growler for up to one week. When emptied, bring it back and we will refill it!

Over one hundred years ago (and before cans) a growler was a pail with a lid on it. People hauled it from the pub to home to enjoy fresh beer at their leisure or at work. Some mention the origin of the word being rooted in growling stomachs of hungry workers or the growling noise pails made from the carbon dioxide escaped.
